DESCRIPTION:
Meet us and the rest of the group at the Meeting Point and departure to Etna Volcano, the highest volcano still active in Europe (3.345mt). Upon arrival visit the Silvestri Craters.
Then departure for Taormina, a pretty and romantic town on the slopes of the Mount Tauro (204m). Time at leisure and independent visit to the famous Greek Roman Theatre (Admission Fee: not included) from where you can admire an amazing view to the Etna volcano and the Taormina Bay.
Later we drive back to Palermo.

OPTIONAL - ETNA VOLCANO ASCENT:
You can ascent in two different ways: up to 2.500 meters or to the top up to 2.920 meters:
Ascent up to 2.500 meters: from Funivia dell'Etna you can catch on the first cable car ride (Cable Car fee: around eur 30,00 per person payable on the spot) up to 2.500 meters (at the Montagnola). Upon arrival at 2.500 meters you can walk around or hiking or just take a cappuccino at the bar overlooking the area.
Ascent to the top from 2.500 meters up to 2.920 meters: from the Montagnola (located at around 2.500 meters) you can jump on board on the UNI-MOG (mini-coach WD4X4) to reach 2.800 meters with Licensed Etna Guide (Ascent fees: around eur 66,00 per person payable on the spot included of cable car and uni-mog fees). Hiking to reach 2.920 meters. Dress in layers, use sturdy shoes or hiking boots and do not forget the wind-jacket or coat
